Universeelmes Wedo 76 9864 blauw vast mes

The Wedo 76 9864 Blue Fixed blade knife is a compact, fixed-blade utility knife designed for general cutting tasks around the home, workshop or office. It features a single, permanently mounted blade housed in a molded ergonomic handle finished in blue. The fixed blade design offers consistent cutting performance without the blade-retraction mechanism, providing a straightforward tool for repetitive or heavy-duty slicing jobs.

Advantages

The knife provides stable, reliable cutting thanks to its fixed blade construction and solid handle connection. The ergonomic shape of the handle improves grip comfort during extended use and helps maintain control when cutting tougher materials. Its simple, durable design reduces moving parts that can wear or fail, and the visible blue finish makes the tool easy to locate among other supplies. The compact dimensions support precise work in confined areas.

Suitable for

• Opening boxes and packaging
• Cutting paper, cardboard and plastic sheeting
• Trimming carpet, vinyl and similar floor coverings
• General workshop tasks and craft projects

Key specifications

• Fixed single-edge blade for consistent cutting action
• Ergonomic, molded handle in blue for a secure grip
• Compact size suitable for one-handed use and precision work
• Durable construction with minimal moving components

How to use

Hold the utility knife with a comfortable grip on the ergonomic handle, positioning the blade at the required angle to the material. Apply steady, controlled pressure and make multiple light passes for thicker or tougher materials rather than forcing a single heavy cut. Keep the blade edge aligned with the cutting line and ensure the workpiece is supported on a stable surface. Replace or service the knife according to the handle and blade condition; as a fixed-blade model, inspect for wear and replace the unit when the blade becomes dull or damaged.

Recommendations

Use appropriate protective equipment such as cut-resistant gloves and eye protection when working with this fixed blade knife. Store the tool in a designated place away from children and in a manner that prevents accidental contact with the blade. For repetitive industrial applications, consider occasional maintenance checks to ensure handle integrity and blade sharpness.
