USB-kabel ShiverPeaks BS77025 5 m USB 2.0 A naar B grijs

The ShiverPeaks BS77025 USB cable is a 5 m USB 2.0 A-to-B lead designed for connecting computers and peripherals where longer reach is required. It supports USB 2.0 data rates up to 0.48 Gbit/s and features standard A and B connectors with nickel-plated contacts. The grey jacket provides a neutral appearance suitable for offices, studios and home installations.

Advantages

This 5 metre USB cable provides extended reach without requiring repeaters for typical peripheral setups. Nickel-plated contacts improve contact reliability and resist corrosion over time. The USB 2.0 specification ensures compatibility with a wide range of printers, scanners, audio interfaces and other USB B devices while maintaining stable data transmission at the specification limit.

Suitable for

• Connecting desktop computers or laptops to printers and scanners
• Wiring audio interfaces or MIDI devices in home and project studios
• Linking USB B-equipped external drives and hubs located at a distance
• Temporary or permanent cable runs in office workstations and meeting rooms

Key specifications

• Connector types: USB A (male) to USB B (male)
• Length: 5 metres
• Standard: USB 2.0 (full speed/high speed compatibility)
• Maximum data transfer rate: up to 0.48 Gbit/s
• Contact plating: nickel-plated contacts
• Colour: grey

How to use

Ensure both devices are powered off or in a safe state for connection. Insert the USB A connector into the host device (computer or hub) and the USB B connector into the peripheral (printer, scanner, audio interface, etc.). After connecting, power on the devices and allow the host to detect the peripheral; install or update drivers if prompted by the operating system. Route the cable to avoid tight bends, sharp edges and sources of electromagnetic interference for reliable operation.

Recommendations

For best results, avoid running the cable parallel to mains power lines or large transformers; if longer distances are needed, consider an active/repeater cable or a powered USB hub. Periodically inspect the nickel-plated contacts and cable jacket for wear, and replace the cable if the jacket or connectors become damaged to maintain stable data transfer.
