Ventilator Silverstone SST-SF140B-ARGB 14 cm 2200 RPM zwart

The SILVERSTONE SST-SF140B-ARGB is a 14 cm cooling fan designed for computer systems that require efficient airflow in a compact, black housing. With a maximum rotational speed of 2200 RPM and a hydraulic bearing, this fan balances performance and longevity while providing up to 4 mmH2O of static air pressure to move air through radiators, heatsinks, and restrictive case vents. Integrated ARGB illumination allows for customizable lighting effects when connected to compatible controllers or motherboard headers.

Advantages

The fan delivers high airflow and elevated static pressure suitable for radiator and case cooling scenarios, while hydraulic bearing technology reduces friction for quieter operation and extended lifespan. The 14 cm size provides a larger blade area than typical 120 mm fans, improving airflow at lower rotational speeds when needed. ARGB lighting adds visual customization without impacting cooling performance.

Suitable for

• Case cooling for mid-tower and full-tower systems
• CPU and GPU radiator cooling in liquid-cooled builds
• Replacement or upgrade of existing 140 mm fans in airflow-restricted configurations
• Systems requiring ARGB lighting synchronization with compatible controllers or motherboards

Key specifications

• Fan size: 140 mm diameter
• Maximum speed: 2200 RPM
• Bearing type: hydraulic bearing
• Maximum static pressure: 4 mmH2O
• Frame color: black
• Lighting: addressable RGB (ARGB) compatible

How to use

Mount the fan in a 140 mm-compatible fan or radiator position inside your chassis, ensuring airflow orientation matches your cooling plan (intake or exhaust). Connect the power cable to the appropriate fan header on the motherboard or to a compatible controller; connect the ARGB cable to a compatible ARGB header or controller to enable lighting. Secure the fan with the provided screws or standard 140 mm fan screws and verify that wiring is routed to avoid contact with the blades.

Recommendations

For best results, use the fan in multiples or combined with other intake/exhaust fans to maintain positive or balanced airflow. When installed on radiators, consider lower fan curves to reduce noise while retaining effective heat dissipation; ensure ARGB synchronization settings are configured in your motherboard or controller software for desired lighting effects.
