Verpakkingstape Tesa Monofilament 4590 — 50 mm x 50 m, versterkt filamentband

Tesa Monofilament Packaging Tape 4590 is a reinforced filament tape designed for demanding packaging tasks. At 50 mm width and 50 m length, this tape combines a polypropylene backing with embedded monofilament fibers to provide elevated tensile strength and resistance to tearing. It is engineered for secure pallet and carton strapping, offering reliable holding power in industrial shipping, storage and bundling operations where extra reinforcement is required.

Advantages

The tape delivers high tensile strength and excellent resistance to breakage under load, reducing the risk of strap failure during transit or handling. Its reinforced structure ensures consistent performance when securing heavy or irregularly shaped loads. Adhesion is optimized for reliable bonding to cardboard and common packaging materials without excessive adhesive residue. The product's dimensional characteristics provide a balance between coverage and manageability for manual and semi-automatic application.

Suitable for

• Securing palletized goods for transport and storage
• Bundling heavy cartons and irregular loads
• Reinforcing boxes and parcels for long-distance shipping
• Applications requiring high tensile strength and tear resistance

Key specifications

• Backing material: polypropylene with embedded monofilament fibers
• Width: 50 mm
• Length: 50 m
• Reinforcement type: monofilament filament
• Typical properties: high tensile strength, tear resistance, suitable adhesion to cardboard

How to use

Apply the tape directly to the surface to be secured, ensuring full contact between the adhesive side and the packaging material. For pallet strapping, wrap the tape tightly around the load and overlap the tape by several centimeters to create a secure bond. For carton reinforcement, apply strips over seams and edges where added strength is needed. Cut the tape with a suitable dispenser or cutting tool to achieve a clean edge.

Recommendations

Store the tape in a dry environment at moderate temperatures and avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight to preserve adhesive performance. For best results on rough or dusty surfaces, clean the area prior to application and test adhesion on a sample if surface compatibility is uncertain. Use appropriate dispensers or tensioning equipment for semi-automatic packaging lines to ensure consistent application.
