Visaton K 70 WP 8 Ohm 2,8 inch breedband-luidsprekerchassis, IP65 waterbestendig, 15W RMS

The Visaton K 70 WP stands apart from typical compact drivers by combining a weather-resistant IP65-rated construction with a full-range polypropylene cone that delivers surprisingly balanced sound from a 2.8-inch frame. Unlike many small speakers that sacrifice low-end or durability, this driver is built for both indoor and outdoor applications where moisture, dust, and temperature swings are real concerns. Its 8-ohm impedance and 15-watt RMS power handling make it a flexible choice for custom audio projects, portable speakers, and distributed sound systems.

Highlights

• IP65 water and dust protection for reliable outdoor use
• Full-range design with a polypropylene cone for natural midrange and treble
• Compact 2.8-inch (7 cm) size with a shallow 28 mm mounting depth
• Ferrite magnet and plastic basket for lightweight, corrosion-resistant build
• 8-ohm nominal impedance compatible with most amplifiers
• 15 W RMS power handling with 30 W peak capacity

In daily use

Installing the K 70 WP is straightforward thanks to its 60 mm cutout diameter and 28 mm depth, making it suitable for thin panels or enclosures where space is limited. The driver's 84 dB sensitivity means it works well with low-to-medium power amplifiers, and its frequency response from 120 Hz to 20 kHz covers the essential vocal and instrumental range. The IP65 rating ensures that splashes, rain, or dust won't compromise performance, so you can confidently use it in bathrooms, patios, boats, or industrial environments. The polypropylene cone resists moisture and maintains its shape over time, while the plastic basket avoids corrosion issues common with metal frames.
