HDD Western Digital 20 TB 3,5 inch Serial ATA III Ultrastar DC HC555

The Western Digital Ultrastar DC HC555 is a 3.5" internal hard drive offering 20 TB of storage in a Serial ATA III form factor. Designed for continuous, multi-user data center environments, it combines 7200 RPM spindle speed, a 512 MB buffer, and enterprise-class design elements to support data-intensive workloads with proven reliability.

Advantages

This drive uses energy-assisted perpendicular magnetic recording (ePMR) and a Triple-Stage Actuator (TSA) to increase areal density and maintain precise head control, enabling high capacity with low power consumption. HelioSeal® helium sealing reduces internal turbulence for improved power efficiency. Built on a platform deployed in thousands of data centers, the Ultrastar DC HC555 offers field-proven reliability and a projected MTBF of 2.5 million hours, plus sensors and dynamic fly height technology to mitigate vibration and shock.

Suitable for

• Enterprise-scale archival and nearline storage
• High-density server and storage arrays
• Backup and disaster recovery repositories
• Multi-user data center workloads and cold storage
