Goobay 95643 netwerkkabel 25 m blauw Cat6 S/FTP

The Goobay 95643 Blue 25m Cat6 S/FTP networking cable offers a 25-meter connection solution for wired local networks. Compliant with Cat6 performance, the cable uses S/FTP shielding to reduce electromagnetic interference and crosstalk, while gold-plated RJ-45 connectors provide reliable contact and reduced corrosion. The blue jacket identifies the cable visually in installations and is suitable for both home and office network setups where stable, high-speed data transmission is required.

Advantages

The S/FTP construction combines an overall braided shield with individually foiled pairs, delivering improved protection against external noise and near-end crosstalk compared with unshielded alternatives. Gold-plated RJ-45 plugs ensure consistent signal transfer and a low-resistance connection. The 25 m length accommodates flexible placement of network devices without additional couplers, and the Cat6 standard supports higher bandwidths and reliable performance for common Ethernet applications.

Suitable for

• Wired Ethernet connections in home networks
• Office desktop and workstation networking
• Connecting switches, routers and patch panels within structured cabling
• High-speed internet access and streaming devices

Key specifications

• Cable category: Cat6
• Shielding: S/FTP (overall braid + foil on individual pairs)
• Length: 25 m
• Connector type: RJ-45, gold-plated contacts
• Color: Blue jacket
• Conductor type: stranded or solid copper conductors (industry standard for Cat6)
• Suitable frequencies: up to 250 MHz (Cat6 specification)

How to use

Route the cable from your network device to the desired network point, avoiding tight bends and sharp edges that could damage the jacket or conductors. Plug the RJ-45 connector firmly into the Ethernet port of a router, switch, computer or other device until it clicks. For permanent installations, secure the cable with appropriate clips or cable ties and keep it separated from power lines to minimise electromagnetic interference. If connecting through patch panels or keystone jacks, ensure proper termination and testing to verify continuity and performance.

Recommendations

For optimal performance keep cable runs below recommended maximum lengths for Ethernet segments, avoid running parallel to mains power cables, and use a certified cable tester after installation to confirm correct pair wiring and acceptable signal loss. Use the blue color to identify network segments or device types in larger installations.
