Wentronic Goobay CAT 6 crossover patchkabel S/FTP (PiMF), grijs, 3 m, LSZH halogeenvrij, koper (68461)

Direct device-to-device Ethernet connections often fail with standard patch cables due to identical pin assignments on both ends. This crossover cable solves that by crossing the transmit and receive pairs, enabling reliable links without a switch or hub. Ideal for IT technicians, network administrators, and advanced home users who need to connect two computers, servers, or other Ethernet devices directly.

Who is it for

Designed for professionals and enthusiasts who require a dependable, high-performance crossover connection. Whether you are configuring a small ad-hoc network, troubleshooting, or transferring data between two machines, this cable provides the necessary crossed wiring for seamless communication. Its LSZH jacket makes it particularly suitable for environments where fire safety and low smoke emission are critical, such as offices, schools, and public buildings.

Main features

• CAT 6 performance with 250 MHz bandwidth and 1 Gbps data transfer rate for fast, stable connections.
• S/FTP (PiMF) shielding: each pair is individually foil-shielded, and the overall cable is braid-shielded, minimizing crosstalk and EMI.
• Crossover wiring (T568A to T568B) enables direct device-to-device connectivity without additional hardware.
• LSZH (Low Smoke Zero Halogen) jacket reduces toxic fumes and smoke in case of fire, enhancing safety.
• Gold-plated RJ45 connectors ensure corrosion resistance and reliable signal transmission.
• Stranded 27 AWG copper conductors provide flexibility and durability for frequent handling.
• 3-meter length offers convenient reach for desktop and rack setups.

Tips

Use this cable only when a crossover connection is needed; for regular switch-to-device connections, a standard patch cable is appropriate. To maximize performance, avoid sharp bends and keep the cable away from power lines. For longer runs, consider a higher category cable or a network switch.
