Netwerkaansluitdoos Goobay CAT 6/CAT 6A/CAT 7

The Goobay Network Connection Box is a compact junction box designed to connect and terminate two shielded Ethernet cables using tool-free IDC mounting. It supports CAT 6, CAT 6A and CAT 7 standards with STP (shielded twisted pair) connectors and features a durable black housing suitable for network installation and patching tasks.

Advantages

The robust housing provides long service life while the IDC termination strip allows fast, tool-free connection of two Ethernet installation cables. Compatible with CAT 6, CAT 6A and CAT 7 standards and equipped with female STP connectors, the box meets RoHS and CE compliance and has compact dimensions (37 × 83.7 × 23 mm) for easy integration into structured cabling setups.

Suitable for

• Connecting two shielded Ethernet installation cables (STP)
• Small network junctions and point-to-point cable terminations
• Horizontal cabling runs requiring CAT 6 / CAT 6A / CAT 7 performance

Key specifications

• Standards: CAT 6, CAT 6A, CAT 7
• Connector type: STP female
• Termination: Tool-free IDC strip for 2× Ethernet cables
• Housing color: Black
• Dimensions: 37 mm (W) × 83.7 mm (D) × 23 mm (H)
• Compliance: RoHS, CE

How to use

Prepare the two shielded Ethernet installation cables by stripping the outer sheath and exposing the pairs according to the cable manufacturer’s guidance. Insert each cable into the IDC termination positions and press the IDC strip to secure the conductors without tools. Ensure the shielding is correctly bonded to maintain STP performance, then close or mount the connection box in the desired location within the cabling infrastructure.

Recommendations

For optimal STP performance, maintain proper grounding of cable shields and avoid running shielded cables near strong electromagnetic sources. Verify cable category and pair wiring before termination to ensure network performance consistent with CAT 6 / CAT 6A / CAT 7 standards.
