Netwerkkabel Goobay 95465 magenta 0,5 m Cat6 S/FTP

The Goobay 95465 Magenta 0.5m Cat6 S/FTP networking cable is a short patch lead built to Cat6 performance. It provides a compact, high-speed connection with S/FTP shielding to reduce electromagnetic interference and crosstalk. The cable is terminated with RJ-45 plugs on both ends and features gold-plated contacts for improved contact reliability. Its 0.5 m length suits close-range connections where a tidy, visible magenta cable is preferred.

Advantages

S/FTP shielding combines an overall foil with individually shielded pairs to improve signal integrity in electrically noisy environments. Gold-plated contacts reduce corrosion and maintain stable conductivity over repeated insertions. The Cat6 specification supports Gigabit Ethernet data rates and reliable transmission quality, while the short 0.5 m length minimises excess cabling and signal attenuation for close-proximity devices.

Suitable for

• Connecting network devices in patch panels, switches and routers at short distances
• Desktop or rack environments where colour-coded cabling simplifies identification
• Home or small office Gigabit Ethernet connections between closely placed devices

Key specifications

• Category: Cat6 performance suitable for Gigabit Ethernet
• Length: 0.5 metres
• Shielding: S/FTP (overall shielding plus individually shielded pairs)
• Connector type: RJ-45 to RJ-45
• Contact finish: gold-plated contacts for corrosion resistance
• Colour: magenta for easy visual identification
• Support: designed for up to 1000 Mbit/s data rates under Cat6 conditions

How to use

Plug one RJ-45 connector into the network port of your device and the other into the switch, router or wall outlet. Ensure connectors are fully inserted until the latch engages. For neat cabling, route the 0.5 m lead without sharp bends and avoid tension on the ends. The cable is ready to use with standard Ethernet devices that accept RJ-45 connections and support Gigabit speeds.

Recommendations

Use the magenta colour for easy visual management in multi-cable installations. Keep the cable away from strong electromagnetic sources and avoid repeated sharp bending near the connectors to preserve shielding integrity and contact reliability.
