Netwerkkabel Goobay 96095 grijs 305m Cat6a S/FTP

The Goobay 96095 Grey 305m Cat6a S/FTP networking cable is a 305-metre spool designed for high-speed, reliable data transmission. It uses AWG 26/7 stranded copper conductors and an LSZH (halogen-free) outer sheath. The cable meets Cat6a performance levels and has S/FTP shielding to reduce electromagnetic interference and crosstalk, making it suitable for structured cabling in homes, offices and commercial installations.

Advantages

This Cat6a S/FTP cable provides enhanced bandwidth and stable performance for Gigabit and 10 Gigabit Ethernet applications. Stranded AWG 26/7 copper conductors ensure good flexibility for installation, while the S/FTP shielding (overall foil plus individually shielded pairs) reduces external interference. The LSZH outer sheath minimises hazardous smoke and corrosive gases in case of fire, meeting safety requirements for indoor and riser installations.

Suitable for

• Structured cabling in offices and data centres
• High-speed network links (Gigabit / 10 Gigabit Ethernet)
• Horizontal and backbone cabling in commercial and residential buildings
• Patch panels, switches and outlet terminations

How to use

Unwind the required length from the 305 m spool and cut to size. Strip the outer LSZH sheath and internal pair fillers as needed, then terminate pairs onto RJ45 plugs, keystone jacks or patch panels according to T568A or T568B wiring standards. Ensure the shield is properly terminated to maintain S/FTP performance and connect to compatible shielded connectors and grounded equipment. Test each run with an appropriate cable tester to verify continuity, pair integrity and performance up to Cat6a specifications.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, use shielded RJ45 connectors and maintain proper grounding of the shield. Avoid running the cable parallel to high-voltage power lines and keep bend radius within manufacturer guidelines during installation. Use this cable for installations that require improved EMI protection and indoor safety where a halogen-free sheath is preferred.
