Netwerkkabel Goobay CAT 6 outdoor U/UTP 100m zwart

Network Cable Goobay CAT 6 Outdoor U/UTP 100m Black is a 100 m outdoor-rated Cat6 cable with copper-clad aluminium (CCA) conductors (AWG 24/1 solid) and a polyethylene (PE) sheath. The cable supports 10/100/1000Base-T(X) and is designed for data transmission in exterior environments where weather and UV resistance are required.

Advantages

The polyethylene outer sheath provides high resistance to weathering and UV radiation, making the cable suitable for prolonged outdoor exposure. U/UTP construction supports Gigabit Ethernet speeds while maintaining reduced interference. The black jacket offers a discreet appearance for installations on facades, in gardens or at campsites.

Suitable for

• Outdoor network runs (gardens, façades, camp sites)
• Connecting surveillance cameras and outdoor network devices
• External wiring for temporary or permanent installations up to 100 m

Key specifications

• Length: 100 m
• Category: Cat6 (U/UTP)
• Conductor: Copper-clad aluminium (CCA), AWG 24/1 (solid)
• Sheath: Polyethylene (PE), black
• Data standard: 10/100/1000Base-T(X)
• Connectors: none (bulk cable)

How to use

Measure and cut the required cable length, keeping the total run within recommended Cat6 limits. Strip the outer PE sheath carefully and terminate the individual pairs with appropriate outdoor-rated RJ45 connectors or use an external junction box for camera connections. Use grommets or cable glands at penetration points to maintain weather resistance and avoid sharp bends to prevent damage to the AWG 24/1 conductors.

Recommendations

For long-term outdoor installations, protect cable ends and terminations from direct water ingress using sealed connectors or IP-rated housings. Avoid routing the cable close to high-voltage power lines to minimize interference and observe local building codes for outdoor cabling.
