WLAN-accesspoint TP-Link Omada AX3000 2,4 GHz 5 GHz Wi-Fi 6

The TP-Link Omada AX3000 (EAP650 D30-Outdoor) is a dual‑band WiFi 6 access point designed for indoor and outdoor deployment. It supports 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands with a combined maximum data transfer rate of 3000 Mbit/s, PoE installation and an IP68 waterproof enclosure for use in demanding environments.

Advantages

The device provides high WiFi 6 throughput with up to 2402 Mbps on 5 GHz and 574 Mbps on 2.4 GHz, along with directional high‑gain antennas for extended coverage. It supports 802.11k/v/r seamless roaming for reliable handover of AGVs and handheld scanners, centralized cloud management via the Omada app or Web UI, and flexible deployment options including 802.3at PoE and Omada Mesh. Security and network monitoring protocols include SNMP, SNMPv2 and SNMPv3.

Suitable for

• Warehouse wireless coverage and outdoor industrial sites
• Locations requiring extended directional range (corridors, loading bays)
• Sites using automated guided vehicles (AGVs) and handheld scanners
• Environments where PoE simplifies installation (ceiling poles, masts)

How to use

Mount the access point in the desired indoor or outdoor location and connect it to a PoE switch or injector using the RJ‑45 Ethernet port. Use the Omada app or Web UI to adopt the device into your Omada controller for centralized configuration and firmware updates. For mesh deployments, enable Omada Mesh in the controller to expand coverage. Ensure the device is positioned with clear line‑of‑sight along the intended coverage direction to benefit from the directional antennas.

Recommendations

Install the unit following IP68 protection guidelines and secure mounting to withstand outdoor conditions. Place the access point to avoid physical obstructions in the antenna direction, and use 802.3at PoE for reliable power delivery. For critical mobility (AGVs), enable 802.11k/v/r roaming and test handover performance during installation.
