X-Shield netwerkkabel XS-CAT6-UUTP-BLK-5M zwart U/UTP 5m

The X-Shield Networking Cable XS-CAT6-UUTP-BLK-5M Black U/UTP 5m is a 5-metre Cat6 Ethernet cable engineered for reliable high-speed data transmission in home and office networks. With U/UTP construction and standard RJ-45 connectors at both ends, this cable supports Gigabit Ethernet and common networking equipment while offering a discreet black jacket for a neat installation.

Advantages

This Cat6 cable provides stable performance for data, voice and video traffic thanks to its U/UTP shielding that reduces external electromagnetic interference. The cable’s 5 m length balances reach and cable management for typical desk-to-switch connections. Durable RJ-45 connectors ensure consistent contact and easy plug-and-play installation with switches, routers, patch panels and network cards.

Suitable for

• Connecting computers, printers or IP phones to a network switch or router
• Patch panel to switch runs in small office or home server cabinets
• Workstation cabling at desks where a 5 m length is sufficient

Key specifications

• Cable category: Cat6
• Shielding type: U/UTP (overall unshielded pair with unshielded twisted pairs)
• Length: 5 metres
• Connector type: RJ-45 on both ends
• Color: Black
• Supported network speeds: up to Gigabit Ethernet (1000BASE-T) and suitable for frequencies typical of Cat6 cabling

How to use

Connect one RJ-45 connector to the Ethernet port of your device and the other to a switch, router or wall outlet. Ensure connectors are fully inserted until the latch clicks to establish a secure connection. Route the cable to avoid sharp bends, tension or close proximity to high-power electrical cables to preserve signal integrity. For consistent network performance, verify link speed on connected devices and replace cables showing physical damage or degraded connectors.

Recommendations

Use this 5 m Cat6 cable for in-room connections where moderate reach is required. For installations near sources of strong electromagnetic interference or for runs exceeding typical office lengths, consider shielded or higher-category cabling and proper grounding practices.
