Accesspoint HPE Aruba AP-505H 2,4 GHz 5 GHz Wi-Fi 6

The HPE Aruba AP-505H is a dual-band Wi‑Fi 6 (802.11ax) access point designed to deliver high-performance wireless connectivity for mobile and IoT devices in dense indoor environments. It supports combined data rates up to 1487 Mbit/s, provides unified wired and wireless policy with Dynamic Segmentation, and includes advanced security such as WPA3 and Enhanced Open. PoE support and compact white housing simplify installation and deployment.

Advantages

The AP-505H improves overall network capacity and efficiency with Wi‑Fi 6 features and Aruba’s AI-powered RF optimization, increasing performance compared to 802.11ac APs. It supports multiple simultaneous clients and traffic types in crowded environments, offers Live upgrades for simplified maintenance, and includes modern security protocols (WPA/WPA2/WPA3). PoE capability reduces cabling complexity while four RJ-45 ports and multi-gig Ethernet support flexible wired connections.

Suitable for

• Enterprise and branch offices with dense client populations
• Classrooms, auditoriums and meeting rooms
• Retail stores and hospitality environments supporting IoT devices
• Wired and wireless convergence scenarios requiring Dynamic Segmentation

How to use

Mount the AP-505H in the desired indoor location and connect it to the network switch using an Ethernet cable that supports PoE to power the device. Configure SSIDs, security (WPA3 recommended where supported), VLANs and Dynamic Segmentation via Aruba’s management platform or your controller. Place units to provide coverage for intended areas, taking into account dense-client locations and avoiding large physical obstructions.

Recommendations

For best performance in high-density environments enable Wi‑Fi 6 features, use Aruba RF optimization, and ensure PoE power budget on the switch supports the AP’s maximum consumption. Regularly apply Live upgrades and security updates through Aruba management tools.
