Draadloos access point Grandstream GWN7625 2,4GHz 5GHz

The Grandstream GWN7625 is an 802.11ac Wave-2 wireless access point that supports both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands and is designed for small-to-medium sized businesses, home offices, retail shops and restaurants. It provides MU-MIMO (4x4:4 on 5 GHz and 2x2:2 on 2.4 GHz), a multi-antenna design for improved throughput and extended coverage, dual Gigabit Ethernet ports with PoE/PoE+ and built-in web-based controller functionality. The GWN7625 is compatible with GWN.Cloud and GWN Manager for cloud or on-premise management and supports common Wi‑Fi security algorithms including WEP, TKIP, WPA, WPA2-PSK and WPA3.

Advantages

The GWN7625 delivers high aggregate throughput and expanded coverage through its 4x4 and 2x2 MU-MIMO antenna configuration and optimized antenna design. It is easy to deploy and manage thanks to its controller-less distributed management (embedded web UI) and compatibility with Grandstream’s cloud and local management platforms. The AP supports advanced QoS and low-latency real-time applications, mesh networking and captive portal functionality, while dual Gigabit ports with PoE/PoE+ simplify installation.

Suitable for

• Small and medium businesses (offices, retail, hospitality)
• Home offices and remote work environments
• Voice-over-Wi-Fi and Wi-Fi IP phone deployments
• Public hotspots requiring captive portal access
• Medium-density wireless networks with up to ~200 concurrent clients per AP

Key specifications

• Wireless standard: IEEE 802.11ac Wave-2 (also backward compatible with 802.11a/b/g/n)
• Dual-band: 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz
• MU-MIMO: 4x4:4 (5 GHz), 2x2:2 (2.4 GHz)
• Ethernet: 2 x Gigabit RJ-45 ports with PoE / PoE+
• Antennas: 6 integrated antennas
• Security: WEP, TKIP, WPA, WPA2-PSK, WPA3
• Maximum power consumption: 13 W
• Colour: White

How to use

Mount the access point in a central location to maximize coverage, connect it to a PoE-capable switch or injector using the Gigabit Ethernet port, then power it on. Configure the device through the embedded web user interface, or register and manage it via GWN.Cloud or GWN Manager for centralized control. Create SSIDs, apply security settings (WPA2/WPA3 recommended), configure QoS for real-time traffic and, if needed, enable mesh or captive portal features according to network requirements.

Recommendations

Place the GWN7625 away from large metal objects and interference sources, use PoE/PoE+ for simplified installation, enable WPA3 where supported, and segment guest traffic using a captive portal or VLANs when deploying in public or semi-public environments.
