Accesspoint TP-Link Omada AX1800 2,4 GHz 5 GHz Wi-Fi 6

The TP-Link Omada AX1800 2.4 GHz 5 GHz Wi-Fi 6 access point delivers dual-band wireless connectivity with a maximum data transfer rate of 1201 Mbit/s. Designed for managed network deployments, it supports current wireless standards and Wi‑Fi 6 features to improve throughput and device density on both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands. The device includes integrated security options such as WPA-Personal, WPA2-Personal, WPA3-Personal, as well as management and monitoring protocols like SNMP and SSH. A compact white enclosure and two external antennas provide a discreet, space-saving installation for office, hospitality, or branch environments.

Advantages

This access point supports Wi‑Fi 6 performance across dual bands, enabling higher speeds and improved efficiency for mixed client types while maintaining backward compatibility with previous IEEE 802.11 standards. Ethernet uplink and LAN ports provide 1000 Mbit/s wired connectivity for high-throughput backhaul and PoE-capable deployments. Security protocols and management interfaces allow centralized monitoring and secure local configuration. The lightweight white design and two-antenna configuration simplify mounting and placement in typical indoor installations.

Suitable for

• Small and medium-sized offices requiring high wireless capacity
• Retail and hospitality areas with concurrent users
• Branch locations and meeting rooms needing managed Wi‑Fi
• Environments that require compact, wall-mounted access points

How to use

Mount the access point in a central indoor location to maximize coverage and connect the Ethernet uplink to your network switch or router using the RJ‑45 port. Supply power and network through a compatible PoE source or standard power adapter where supported. Use the device management interfaces to configure SSIDs, security settings (WPA/WPA2/WPA3), and monitoring via SNMP or SSH as required. Ensure client devices are configured to use the appropriate 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz band for optimal performance.

Recommendations

For best results, place the AP away from large metal objects and sources of interference, allow clear line-of-sight where possible, and pair with a managed controller or Omada-compatible management platform for centralized configuration and firmware updates.
