ACT 80 meter DisplayPort actieve optische kabel, DisplayPort stekker – DisplayPort stekker

The ACT DisplayPort Active Optical Cable AK4038 (80 metres) combines multimode optical fiber and copper to transmit video and audio over long distances up to 80 m without signal degradation. The cable features male DisplayPort connectors on both ends, is supplied on a coil for easy handling, and is compatible with DisplayPort 1.2a devices. It is lightweight, flexible and designed for installation in environments requiring extended cable runs between computers, monitors, projectors and other DP-equipped devices.

Advantages

The hybrid construction uses optical fiber for high-speed data transmission and copper for AUX and hot-plug channels, enabling reliable delivery of 4K@60Hz 4:4:4 signals and support for HDCP 1.1 and HDCP 1.3. With HBR up to 5.4 Gbps per lane (total bandwidth 21.6 Gbps), the cable provides stable high-bandwidth performance over long distances. The coil-supplied, flexible design simplifies routing and installation.

Suitable for

• Connecting a PC or media player to a monitor at long distance (up to 80 m)
• Linking laptops or workstations to projectors in auditoriums or conference rooms
• Extended AV runs in control rooms, studios or digital signage installations

How to use

Uncoil the ACT DisplayPort Active Optical Cable and connect the male DisplayPort connector to the source device (PC, laptop or media player) and the other male DisplayPort connector to the display device (monitor, projector). The cable is plug-and-play and carries AUX and hot-plug signals over the copper conductors, so no external power or drivers are normally required. Route the cable as needed, avoiding sharp bends and excessive tension to protect the optical fiber core.

Recommendations

For reliable performance, maintain bend radius recommendations from the manufacturer, avoid kinking the cable, and keep connectors free from dust. Use this cable where DisplayPort 1.2a features and HDCP 1.1/1.3 compatibility are required; verify source and display support for 4K@60Hz 4:4:4 to achieve full resolution and color sampling.
