ACT geel 3 meter SFTP CAT6A patchkabel rastnasenvrij met RJ45-stekkers

The ACT Yellow 3 meter SFTP CAT6A patch cable is a shielded Ethernet cable designed for secure high-speed connections between network devices. It has snagless RJ-45 connectors with gold-plated contacts for stable signal transmission and corrosion resistance. The 3 m length offers flexibility for desktop, rack, and structured-cabling installations while the yellow jacket provides clear visual identification within cable bundles.

Advantages

The SFTP shielding reduces electromagnetic interference and crosstalk, supporting consistent performance in environments with multiple cables or electrical equipment. CAT6A specification enables data transfer rates up to 10 Gbps over suitable infrastructure, while the snagless connector design protects the latch during installation and removal. Gold plating on the connector contacts improves long-term contact reliability.

Suitable for

• 10 Gigabit Ethernet links within offices and data closets
• Connections between switches, patch panels, and servers
• Home and small business networks requiring clear cable identification
• Environments where shielded cabling is needed to limit interference

Key specifications

• Cable type: SFTP (shielded foil with braided drain)
• Performance class: CAT6A, suitable for frequencies up to 500 MHz
• Maximum data rate: up to 10 Gbps over appropriate infrastructure
• Connector type: RJ-45 to RJ-45, snagless design
• Contact plating: gold-plated contacts for improved conductivity
• Length: 3 m
• Colour: Yellow

How to use

Route the ACT Yellow 3 meter SFTP CAT6A patch cable between the two network ports you wish to connect, ensuring the cable path avoids sharp bends and sources of strong electromagnetic interference. Insert the RJ-45 plugs fully until the latch clicks to establish a secure connection. If used in a rack or patch panel, dress the cable neatly and allow some slack to prevent strain on the connectors. Test the link with appropriate network testing tools after installation to confirm expected throughput and signal integrity.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, use this CAT6A SFTP cable within a structured cabling system rated for 10 Gbps and keep cable runs within recommended lengths for 10G performance. Avoid kinking or tightly coiling the cable and maintain separation from high-voltage power lines where possible. Label both ends if used in complex installations to ease maintenance and troubleshooting.
