Afdichtingsrubber TESA tesamoll 05390-100-0

tesamoll® P-Profile is a self-adhesive rubber window seal designed to insulate windows and reduce drafts. The profile fits into gaps and joints, providing a durable wind stopper for older or imperfect window frames. Available in white and sold in a 6 m length, it is intended to close gaps between 2 mm and 5 mm to improve thermal insulation and reduce noise transmission.

Advantages

The TESA tesamoll seal is self-adhesive for quick installation and adheres reliably to most window frame materials. Its flexible rubber construction allows it to compress into uneven gaps from 2 mm to 5 mm, creating an effective barrier against wind and noise. The white color matches common window finishes and the 6 m length provides enough material for multiple windows or trims.

Suitable for

• Sealing gaps of 2 mm–5 mm in window frames
• Reducing drafts and improving thermal insulation
• Minimizing outside noise through window joints
• Older or warped windows with uneven seals

How to use

Clean and dry the window frame surface where the seal will be applied. Measure the required length and cut the profile to size. Remove the backing from the adhesive side and press the seal firmly into the gap or along the frame edge so the rubber compresses slightly to form a tight seal. For best adhesion, apply pressure along the full length and ensure the surface temperature is within the manufacturer's recommended range for adhesives (room temperature conditions are generally suitable).

Recommendations

For durable results, apply the seal to clean, grease-free surfaces and avoid stretching the profile during installation. Check compatibility with painted or sensitive finishes on a small hidden area first. Replace the seal if it becomes hardened or damaged to maintain insulation performance.
