Deur- en raamafdichting Tesa tesamoll 6 m model 05463-121-0, afdichtingsband voor kieren

Tesa tesamoll 6 m Model 05463-121-0 is a flexible sealing strip designed for closing gaps around doors and windows. The product is supplied in a 6‑meter length and is intended to reduce drafts, dust ingress and heat loss by creating a continuous seal along the frame. It is suitable for retrofit applications and can be cut to length for a precise fit on interior and exterior doors, window sashes and other frame junctions.

Advantages

The sealing strip delivers improved airtightness and helps reduce energy loss without structural modifications. Its flexible material adapts to uneven surfaces and compresses to form a consistent seal, while the adhesive backing ensures straightforward attachment to clean, dry frames. Installation requires only basic tools and allows trimming for exact alignment and neat appearance.

Suitable for

• Sealing gaps between door or window frames and moving parts to reduce drafts
• Improving thermal insulation in living rooms, bedrooms and hallways
• Preventing dust and small insect entry through frame gaps
• Retrofit sealing on older frames in apartments and houses

Key specifications

• Length: 6 meters
• Type: flexible sealing strip with adhesive backing
• Primary function: gap sealing to reduce drafts, dust and heat loss
• Material properties: compressible and adaptable to irregular surfaces
• Application locations: door and window frames, movable sashes

How to use

Measure the perimeter of the gap to be sealed and cut the sealing strip to the required lengths. Clean and dry the frame surfaces thoroughly to ensure adhesion. Peel off the protective liner from the adhesive backing and press the strip firmly into place along the gap, compressing slightly to form an even seal. For internal corners or joints, cut the strip at appropriate angles for a close fit. If necessary, trim excess material with a sharp knife or scissors to achieve a neat finish.

Recommendations

For best results, install at moderate temperatures on clean, grease‑free surfaces. Avoid stretching the strip during application; allow the adhesive to bond by applying even pressure. Periodically inspect the seal for wear or compression loss and replace sections as needed to maintain effectiveness.
