Schuimframe 3M Tora CCS model 7100032645, voorgevormde schuimafdichting voor deur-/raamafdichting

3M Tora CCS model 7100032645 is a preformed foam frame designed for sealing the perimeter of doors and windows. The compressible foam lining fills irregular gaps between the frame and surrounding construction, helping to reduce drafts, limit external noise transfer and prevent moisture ingress. The product is intended for straightforward installation around door and window openings to improve thermal and acoustic performance and to simplify weatherproofing tasks.

Advantages

The preformed foam frame provides consistent compression and an even seal along the entire perimeter, reducing the need for on-site shaping or cutting. Its resilient foam construction accommodates movement and settling while maintaining contact with both frame and wall surfaces. The material resists moisture retention and helps to reduce air leakage, contributing to improved energy efficiency and indoor comfort. The product is compatible with standard door and window frame profiles and can be used in new build and retrofit applications.

How to use

Ensure the frame opening and mating surfaces are clean, dry and free from loose debris or dust. Measure the perimeter of the door or window opening and position the preformed foam frame so that it aligns with the contact surfaces of the frame. Compress the foam evenly along the perimeter as the door or window is installed or closed, allowing the foam to create continuous contact and fill irregular gaps. Trim excess material only if necessary to achieve a uniform fit. Follow any additional installation guidance provided by the frame or building system manufacturer to ensure correct compression and sealing performance.

Recommendations

For reliable performance, store the foam frame in a dry, temperate location prior to installation. Avoid installing over wet substrates or applying solvents that could degrade the foam. Check compatibility with sealants or adhesives before use if additional bonding is required. Periodic inspection after installation is recommended to verify continued compression and integrity, particularly where frames are exposed to high movement or weather extremes.
