Bakpan de buyer PRIM APPETY DB3504-32 32 cm, koolstofstaal, inductiegeschikt

De Buyer PRIM APPETY DB3504-32 is a 32 cm carbon steel frying pan engineered for everyday cooking in both home and professional kitchens. The pan delivers fast heat response and even heat distribution, and it is compatible with induction, gas, electric and ceramic cooktops. With regular use the cooking surface develops a natural seasoned patina that improves release properties without synthetic coatings.

Advantages

The carbon steel construction offers high thermal conductivity and good heat retention while remaining lighter than many cast-iron alternatives. Induction compatibility ensures versatility across modern stovetops. The pan’s robust design provides long service life and withstands routine professional use. Over time the pan becomes naturally non-stick as a patina forms, reducing the need for chemical coatings and allowing high‑temperature searing and browning.

Suitable for

• Searing and browning meats and fish
• Frying vegetables and omelettes
• Sautéing and pan‑roasting
• Everyday meal preparation on induction, gas, electric or ceramic hobs

Key specifications

• Material: carbon steel
• Diameter: 32 cm cooking surface
• Compatibility: induction, gas, electric, ceramic
• Heat behavior: rapid response and even distribution
• Finish: develops seasoned patina with use
• Intended use: stove‑top cooking, high‑temperature searing

How to use

Before first use, wash the pan in hot water and dry it thoroughly. Season the surface by applying a thin layer of cooking oil and heating the pan to create the initial patina; repeat if desired to improve release properties. Preheat the pan on the chosen heat source until it reaches the required temperature for searing or frying, then add a small amount of fat. Avoid sudden thermal shocks such as rinsing a hot pan under cold water. Clean after cooling using warm water and a soft brush or sponge; avoid abrasive detergents that remove the seasoning layer. Reapply oil and heat briefly after cleaning to maintain the patina.

Recommendations

Use medium to high heat for searing and moderate heat for delicate items. Maintain the seasoned surface by avoiding harsh scouring and by oiling lightly after washing. For best results on induction, ensure good contact between the pan base and the hob surface.
