BRAUN Compagno 8x50 WP Waterproof binoculars (model 20006) provide 8× magnification with 50 mm objective lenses in a waterproof housing suitable for outdoor and marine conditions. Designed to deliver a bright, steady image in low-light and adverse weather, these compact binoculars combine a wide objective aperture with protective construction to support observation of distant subjects while resisting moisture and spray.

Advantages

The large 50 mm objectives allow improved light gathering for clearer images at dawn and dusk, while 8× magnification balances detail with image stability for handheld viewing. A waterproof housing protects internal optics from rain and splashes, making the instrument reliable in wet environments. The compact design and ergonomic focus control enable practical handling and quick target acquisition during field use.

Key specifications

• Magnification: 8×
• Objective lens diameter: 50 mm
• Waterproof housing for moisture resistance
• Compact, lightweight design for handheld use
• Central focus wheel for quick focusing
• Bright-image performance suitable for low-light conditions

How to use

Hold the binoculars steady with both hands and adjust the interpupillary distance until a single circular image is visible. Use the central focus wheel to sharpen the image on the subject, starting with distant objects and then fine-tuning for closer targets. If present, adjust the diopter on one eyepiece to compensate for differences between your eyes. After use in wet or salty conditions, rinse exterior surfaces with fresh water and dry with a soft cloth to maintain functionality.

Recommendations

Use a neck strap or carry case to protect the binoculars during transport. For best results during low-light observation, allow your eyes a short period to adapt to ambient light and keep the objectives clean and free of smudges. Avoid opening the housing or attempting internal repairs; seek professional servicing for internal cleaning or adjustment.
