BTR METZ CONNECT OpDAT 1U optische verdeler SC-aansluitingen blauw/grijs rackmontage 1U

The BTR METZ CONNECT OpDAT 1U optical distribution panel is a rack-mount module designed to organise and terminate SC fibre connections in a standard 19-inch 1U cabinet. The unit provides front-access SC ports in a compact, space-saving housing with colour-coded blue and grey panels for straightforward identification of singlemode and multimode connections. It is intended to improve cable management and simplify patching and rearrangement of fibre links in telecom, data centre and network equipment rooms.

Advantages

The OpDAT 1U panel offers a clean and standardised front termination for SC connectors, reducing cable clutter and enabling easier administration of fibre runs. Its 1U form factor conserves rack space while providing multiple accessible ports. Colour-coded panels and labelled port positions help reduce connection errors and speed up maintenance. The robust metal housing and secure mounting ensure reliable, repeatable fibre routing in professional network environments.

Key specifications

• Form factor: 1U, 19-inch rack-mount compatible
• Front connectors: SC duplex ports
• Panel colours: blue and grey for easy identification
• Material: metal housing for mechanical protection
• Access: front panel access for connector termination and patching
• Cable management: provisions for routing and securing fibre pigtails and patch cords

How to use

Install the panel into a standard 19-inch rack occupying one unit of rack height. Secure the unit with appropriate rack screws and ensure the housing is level. Route fibre pigtails or patch cords to the rear or side entry points according to site cabling practices, then terminate or plug SC connectors into the front-facing SC ports. Use the colour-coding to match singlemode or multimode links as required and label ports according to your network documentation. Maintain minimum bend radii for fibres and secure excess cable to the integrated routing features.
