Advantages

The camera delivers high-resolution 8MP imaging for detailed scene capture and supports integrated IR lighting to maintain visibility in low-light situations. Built-in Smart features improve motion detection accuracy and reduce false alarms, while PoE support enables single-cable power and data transmission to simplify setup. The turret-style form factor allows flexible mounting and aiming for a variety of outdoor locations, and the weather-resistant construction ensures reliable operation in exterior conditions.

Suitable for

• Perimeter and fence line surveillance
• Parking lots and vehicle access areas
• Building entrances and facility exteriors
• Outdoor walkways and campus monitoring

Key specifications

• Image sensor and resolution: 8MP (suitable for high-detail video)
• Lens: fixed 2.8 mm focal length for wide-angle coverage
• Illumination: integrated IR for low-light and night monitoring
• Network: IP camera with Ethernet connectivity and PoE support
• Form factor: turret/bullet-style outdoor housing

How to use

Install the camera at a suitable outdoor location with a clear field of view for the intended coverage area. Connect the camera to the network switch or recorder using an Ethernet cable; if PoE is available, the same cable will supply power and data. Adjust the turret head for optimal framing and focal area using the camera's mechanical aiming. Configure the camera's network settings and Smart detection parameters through the compatible management software or NVR to tailor motion detection zones and recording schedules. Verify IR illumination and image exposure for nighttime visibility after installation.

Recommendations

For best results, mount the camera at a height and angle that minimize direct glare and capture faces or license plates within the 2.8 mm lens field of view. Use PoE-enabled switches or injectors rated for outdoor surveillance equipment to ensure stable power delivery. Regularly inspect the housing and lens for dirt or damage and schedule firmware updates via the Hikvision management platform to maintain security and feature improvements.
