Cuttermes Cimco 120042 rood vast mes

The Cimco 120042 utility knife is a compact fixed-blade cutting tool designed for precise manual work. It features a 5 cm fixed blade and an ergonomic red handle that delivers a steady grip for controlled cuts. The knife's construction balances portability with durability, making it suitable for workshop and household tasks where a reliable fixed blade is preferred.

Advantages

The fixed 5 cm blade provides consistent cutting performance without blade movement or play. The ergonomic red handle is shaped for comfortable one-handed use and reduces slippage during repetitive tasks. Durable blade material maintains sharpness across multiple uses, while the compact overall size allows the knife to be stored easily in a toolbox, drawer, or tool belt. The simple, robust design minimizes maintenance and makes blade replacement or sharpening straightforward when required.

Suitable for

• Precision trimming of cardboard, paper and thin plastics
• Cutting insulation material, tape and packaging
• Workshop tasks requiring a stable fixed blade
• DIY projects and general household cutting jobs

Key specifications

• Blade type: fixed blade, length approximately 5 cm
• Handle: ergonomic design in red for improved grip
• Blade material: hardened cutting steel for durability and edge retention
• Overall size: compact and portable for toolbox storage
• Intended use: manual precision cutting and general utility tasks

How to use

Hold the Cimco 120042 utility knife by the ergonomic handle with a firm grip and position the blade against the material to be cut. Use controlled, steady pressure to guide the blade through the material, keeping fingers and other body parts clear of the cutting line. For thicker materials, make several shallow passes rather than forcing a single deep cut. After use, store the knife in a safe place where the blade is protected and inaccessible to children.

Recommendations

Maintain blade sharpness by honing or replacing the blade as needed. Wear appropriate hand protection when working with tougher materials or prolonged cutting sessions. Ensure the work surface is stable and use cutting mats where applicable to protect both the blade and the surface.
