DisplayPort-naar-HDMI-kabeladapter Sharkoon DisplayPort 1.2 → HDMI 4K Actief 2 m 60 Hz

The Sharkoon DisplayPort 1.2 → HDMI 4K Active cable adapter is a 2‑metre active conversion cable that connects a DisplayPort video output to an HDMI display. It supports up to 4K resolution at 60 Hz and is intended for systems where the DisplayPort output does not provide a native dual‑mode (DP++) signal. The adapter transfers video over a single cable with plug‑and‑play convenience and is suitable for desktop PCs, laptops and graphics cards requiring an active DP-to-HDMI conversion.

Advantages

This active DisplayPort to HDMI adapter offers reliable 4K@60 Hz video transmission without the need for additional adapters or splitters. The 2 m cable length provides flexibility for typical desktop and living‑room setups while maintaining signal integrity. Being an active converter, it enables compatibility with sources that do not support passive DP++ signalling and reduces compatibility issues with a wide range of monitors, TVs and projectors.

Suitable for

• Connecting a DisplayPort-equipped PC or laptop to an HDMI monitor or TV
• Driving a 4K@60 Hz external display for work, multimedia or gaming
• Using with graphics cards that require active conversion for HDMI output
• Presentations and projector setups where only HDMI input is available

Key specifications

• Connection: DisplayPort (source) to HDMI (display) active cable
• DisplayPort version supported: 1.2
• Maximum resolution and refresh rate: up to 3840 × 2160 (4K) at 60 Hz
• Cable length: 2 metres
• Conversion type: active (converts DP signal to HDMI)

How to use

Connect the DisplayPort plug to the source device’s DisplayPort output and insert the HDMI end into the display’s HDMI input. Ensure both devices are powered on and select the correct HDMI input on the display. The adapter is plug‑and‑play in most environments; the source should detect the connected display and apply an appropriate resolution automatically. If needed, adjust the display resolution and refresh rate in the operating system’s display settings to achieve 4K at 60 Hz.

Recommendations

For optimal results, use the adapter with DisplayPort 1.2 capable sources and HDMI displays that support 4K@60 Hz. Avoid excessive cable bending and keep the connection points free from strain. If the source does not detect the display, try reconnecting the cable or restarting the source device; consult the display settings to manually select the 3840 × 2160 resolution and 60 Hz refresh rate when required.
