Doorlager-/nagelset Gedore 8721720

The Gedore 8721720 punch/nail set is made from chrome-molybdenum-vanadium air-hardening steel 45CrMoV7, providing durable construction for precision driving of nails and forming holes in various materials. The set contains multiple punch sizes to accommodate different tasks and is built to withstand repeated use while maintaining shape and edge integrity.

Advantages

The 45CrMoV7 steel composition offers high wear resistance and strength with improved toughness compared to basic carbon steels. The air-hardening property reduces distortion during heat treatment, ensuring consistent hardness across the tools. Gedore manufacture and quality control provide dimensional accuracy and long service life for professional and workshop use.

How to use

Select the punch size appropriate for the nail, pin or mark required. Position the punch perpendicular to the work surface, hold firmly, and strike the head with a suitable hammer to drive the nail or form the indentation. For alignment or starter holes, use light taps to control position before final blows. Store the set dry and inspect tips for wear before use.

Recommendations

Use appropriate personal protective equipment such as safety glasses and gloves. Avoid striking punches at extreme angles to prevent tip chipping. Do not use worn or mushroomed punches; rework or replace damaged tools to maintain safety and accuracy.
