Operate at recommended speeds for knotted wire brushes to avoid excessive vibration or wire loss. Apply steady, controlled pressure and move the brush along the work area to remove rust, paint or debris; avoid pressing too hard to prevent damage to the base material. Inspect the brush regularly and replace it when wires are worn or damaged.

Recommendations

Use appropriate personal protective equipment (safety glasses, gloves and a dust mask) when working with wire brushes. Select a brush speed suitable for the material and task, and avoid using the brush on painted surfaces where substrate damage is unacceptable.
