Draadloos access point Grandstream GWN7630 2,4 GHz 5 GHz

The Grandstream GWN7630 is a high-performance dual-band wireless access point (2.4 GHz and 5 GHz) designed for small to medium sized businesses, multi-floor offices, commercial locations and branch offices. It supports 802.11ac Wave-2 with 4×4:4 MU-MIMO and a refined antenna design to increase throughput and extend Wi‑Fi coverage. The GWN7630 embeds controller functions in its web user interface and is also manageable through GWN.Cloud, Grandstream's cloud Wi‑Fi management platform. With dual Gigabit Ethernet ports, PoE/PoE+ support and capacity for over 200 concurrent clients, it is suitable for medium deployments that require reliable wireless performance and voice-over-Wi‑Fi integration.

Advantages

The GWN7630 delivers combined maximum data rates up to 2330 Mbit/s across 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands and supports MU‑MIMO for simultaneous multi-client transmission. Built‑in QoS and low-latency handling make it suitable for real‑time applications such as voice and video. Controller-less distributed management and free GWN.Cloud support simplify installation and ongoing administration. Dual Gigabit LAN ports with PoE/PoE+ reduce cabling complexity while the four internal antennas provide wider coverage and improved signal stability.

Suitable for

• Small and medium-sized businesses
• Multi-floor office environments
• Branch offices and retail/commercial locations
• Voice-over-Wi‑Fi deployments with Wi‑Fi-capable IP phones
• Medium-density wireless networks with 200+ concurrent clients per AP

How to use

Mount the GWN7630 in a central location for optimal coverage and connect it to a PoE-capable switch or PoE injector using an Ethernet cable to power the device and provide backhaul. Access the embedded web management interface via the device IP address to perform initial setup and local configuration, or register the device on GWN.Cloud for centralized cloud management. Configure SSIDs, security (WPA2/WPA2-PSK recommended), VLANs and QoS settings according to your network requirements. For voice deployments, assign appropriate QoS priorities and verify compatibility with Grandstream Wi‑Fi IP phones.

Recommendations

Place the access point on or near the ceiling where possible, keep at least 1–2 meters clear of large metal objects and other electronics, and use the 5 GHz band for high-throughput devices while reserving 2.4 GHz for wider-range coverage. Regularly update firmware via the web UI or GWN.Cloud and monitor client load to ensure consistent performance in medium-to-high density deployments.
