Draadloze USB-netwerkadapter INTER-TECH Argus EP-132, USB 2.0, Wi-Fi 5 (tot 600 Mbit/s)

INTER-TECH Argus EP-132 is a compact Wireless USB 2.0 network adapter that provides Wi‑Fi 5 connectivity with a stated maximum throughput of up to 600 Mbps. Designed to connect computers and compatible devices to wireless networks through a USB port, this adapter enables internet access, media streaming and file transfers on systems that lack built-in wireless or have older wireless standards. The device is plug-and-play on many systems and offers a straightforward way to upgrade network capabilities without opening a computer.

Advantages

The adapter delivers Wi‑Fi 5 performance over a USB 2.0 interface, offering improved wireless speeds compared to legacy standards while remaining compatible with common USB ports. Its compact, external design requires no internal installation and is suitable for both desktop and laptop use. The device supports standard wireless functions needed for browsing, streaming and basic file sharing, and its simple connection method minimizes setup time.

Suitable for

• Upgrading desktops or laptops that lack or have outdated internal Wi‑Fi
• Adding wireless capability to small form-factor PCs and thin clients
• Temporary or portable Wi‑Fi access for travel or shared workspaces
• Everyday internet browsing, video streaming and basic file transfers

Key specifications

• Wireless standard: Wi‑Fi 5 (IEEE 802.11ac compatible)
• Maximum stated throughput: up to 600 Mbps
• Interface: USB 2.0
• Form factor: external USB dongle, compact footprint

How to use

Insert the INTER-TECH Argus EP-132 into an available USB 2.0 port on the host device. If required by the operating system, install drivers provided by the manufacturer or those available from the system software update service. After driver installation, use the operating system's network management tools to scan for and connect to available Wi‑Fi networks, entering network credentials as needed. The adapter operates as a standard wireless network interface once connected.

Recommendations

For best results, use the adapter with a nearby wireless access point supporting Wi‑Fi 5 to approach the stated throughput. Avoid physical obstructions and interference sources such as large metal objects and crowded radio environments. When possible, connect to 5 GHz networks for higher throughput while using 2.4 GHz for extended range. Ensure host device drivers are kept up to date for compatibility and stability.
