Fietsband Schwalbe Hans Dampf Super Trail, maat ETRTO 60-584, zwart

Schwalbe Hans Dampf Super Trail in size ETRTO 60-584 (29 x 2.35" approx.) is a black trail and enduro bicycle tyre designed for mixed off-road conditions. The tyre combines a dense, well-spaced tread pattern with reinforced sidewalls to offer consistent grip on loose, rocky, and root-covered surfaces while maintaining predictable handling on harder-packed trails. It mounts to rims compatible with the 60-584 ETRTO specification and is intended for riders who require durable traction and control during aggressive trail riding and enduro stages.

Advantages

The tyre provides strong lateral bite and straight-line traction through a multi-directional knob layout, while the Super Trail casing balances puncture resistance and ride compliance. Reinforced shoulders improve cornering stability and the compound formulation is tuned for wear resistance and consistent braking performance. Overall, the design aims to deliver reliable traction, improved control in technical sections, and longevity under regular trail use.

Suitable for

• Trail riding on mixed terrain: roots, rocks, and packed dirt
• Enduro stages where durable traction and confidence in corners are required
• All-mountain use with a focus on durability and predictable handling
• Riders converting a hardtail or full-suspension bike to more aggressive trail tyres

How to use

Fit the tyre onto a rim specified for ETRTO 60-584 using standard tyre levers or a compatible mounting method. Ensure the tyre bead seats evenly and check the directional tread orientation before inflating. Inflate to the pressure range recommended by the rim and tyre manufacturer, adjusting pressure to rider weight, terrain, and tubed or tubeless setup. Inspect bead seating and perform a short test ride to confirm correct installation and handling before full trail use.

Recommendations

For best performance, use appropriate tyre pressures for your weight and terrain, consider a tubeless conversion for improved puncture resistance and lower pressures, and regularly inspect tread and sidewalls for wear or damage. Match the tyre with compatible rims and brake/clearance specifications to ensure safe operation.
