Hama 00205082 SCART-kabel 1,5 m SCART (10-polig) zwart

The Hama 00205082 SCART cable 1.5 m is a twin-ended audio/video lead with 10-pin SCART connectors on both ends, designed to link legacy AV devices such as televisions, DVD players and set-top boxes. The 1.5-metre length provides moderate reach for typical home entertainment setups, while the black outer jacket delivers a discreet appearance that integrates with most AV equipment.

Advantages

This SCART cable supports combined audio and composite video signals through standard 10-pin SCART connectors, enabling a single-cable connection between compatible devices. Its 1.5 m length balances flexibility and signal stability for short to medium distances. The black finish helps hide the cable in racks or behind furniture, and the matched connectors at both ends ensure straightforward, reversible connections without the need for adapters.

Suitable for

• Connecting DVD players to TVs with SCART inputs
• Linking set-top boxes or VCRs to a television
• Replacing worn or damaged SCART leads in home entertainment systems
• Temporary or permanent connections in AV cabinets and media centres

Key specifications

• Cable length: 1.5 m
• Connector type: SCART 10-pin on both ends
• Signal support: analogue audio and composite video via SCART wiring
• Outer colour: black
• Suitable for standard-definition audiovisual connections

How to use

Connect one SCART connector to the SCART input or output of the source device (for example a DVD player) and insert the other connector into the SCART socket on the display device (for example a television). Ensure both devices are powered off during connection to avoid signal transients. Once connected, power on the devices and select the corresponding AV or SCART input on the television to view or listen to the source device's content.

Recommendations

For best performance, route the cable away from mains power cables and strong interference sources. Use the 1.5 m length for straightforward in-room connections; for longer distances, consider a cable of greater length or an alternative digital interface if available. Inspect connectors for damage before use and replace the cable if pins are bent or contacts are corroded.
