Hama 00205236 kabel-splitter/-combiner zilver

The Hama 00205236 cable splitter allows you to split a single coaxial video signal into two outputs while preserving signal integrity across a broad frequency range. Designed for indoor installations, the device supports frequencies from 4 to 1000 MHz, making it compatible with terrestrial TV, cable TV and various RF signal sources. Its compact silver metal housing provides mechanical durability and a low-profile connection point for coaxial cables.

Advantages

The splitter delivers two identical outputs from one input without requiring power, enabling easy distribution of an RF video signal to two tuners or receivers. Its frequency coverage up to 1000 MHz ensures compatibility with a wide range of video and RF services. The metal casing in silver offers shielding against interference and a neat appearance for visible cable runs.

How to use

Connect the incoming coaxial cable from the antenna or cable outlet to the splitter input, and attach coaxial cables from the two splitter outputs to the destination devices. Ensure connectors are tightened securely but avoid over-tightening. Place the splitter in a dry, ventilated location and route cables to minimise bends and strain.

Recommendations

For best performance, use good-quality coaxial cables and F-type connectors. If signal levels are weak after splitting, consider a line amplifier or a distribution amplifier to compensate for the split loss. Avoid installing the splitter outdoors or in areas with high moisture; if outdoor installation is necessary, use weatherproof housings and connectors.
