Handheld-barcodescanner Datalogic QM2500-BK-433

The QuickScan 2500 series by Datalogic is an entry-level corded handheld imager designed for reliable everyday barcode scanning at retail points of sale and other light-duty environments. It reads a wide range of barcode types including 1D, 2D, postal, stacked and composite codes, as well as codes on smartphone screens and through plexiglass barriers. Built with durable materials and tested for repeated use, the series includes corded and cordless options with USB-C connectivity and offers easy setup, omnidirectional scanning and visual feedback for successful reads.

Advantages

The QuickScan 2500 family delivers consistent, repeatable scanning performance in an affordable package. Devices are comfortable to hold, resist drops from up to 1.5 m (5 ft) and are rated for over 10 million trigger presses. Visual and audible feedback, adjustable illumination and Motionix pick-up activation improve operator efficiency. Multiple models (QD2500, QW2500, QM2500, QBT2500) cover corded, basic corded, STAR radio and Bluetooth needs, enabling flexible deployment and extended autonomy where required.

How to use

Connect the QuickScan 2500 to your POS or host system using the supplied cable or pair it via Bluetooth/STAR radio for cordless models. Aim the imager at the barcode using the aiming triangles, then pull the trigger or lift the scanner to activate Motionix. Ensure illumination is adjusted for operator comfort and scan orientation is not critical due to omnidirectional optics. For scanning through plexiglass or from smartphone screens, position the scanner so the code is fully visible within the aiming field and wait for the Green Spot or audible confirmation before moving on to the next item.

Recommendations

Choose the model that matches your workflow: QD2500 for high-performance corded scanning, QW2500 for a simple rugged corded option, QM2500 for STAR radio environments with reduced interference, and QBT2500 for maximum mobility with Bluetooth. Use compatible stands and accessories provided by Datalogic to adapt the scanner to checkout counters or fixed scanning stations.
