HPE - StoreEver 45000 - tapestreamer - LTO Ultrium (12 TB / 30 TB) Ultrium 9 SAS-2 intern 5,25 (13,3 cm) encryptie

The HP StoreEver 45000 stands apart from ordinary tape drives by combining LTO-9 capacity with hardware encryption and a half-height form factor that fits standard 5.25-inch bays. It delivers 12 TB native storage per cartridge, doubling to 30 TB with compression, making it a serious contender for long-term archival and backup in growing data environments.

Highlights

• LTO Ultrium 9 technology with 12 TB native / 30 TB compressed capacity
• SAS 6Gb/s interface for fast, reliable server connectivity
• AES 256-bit hardware encryption secures sensitive data without performance loss
• Reads LTO-8 and LTO-7 cartridges, protecting your existing media investment
• WORM support for compliance and tamper-proof archiving

In daily use

Installed internally in a 5.25-inch bay, the drive operates quietly and efficiently. The 1024 MB buffer smooths data flow, sustaining native transfer rates up to 400 MB/s and compressed rates up to 1000 MB/s. With a mean time between failures of 250,000 hours, it is built for continuous duty in backup servers and archival systems.
