Hypertec 848948-HY Netwerkkabel grijs 5 m Cat6a S/FTP (S-STP)

The Hypertec ProConnectLite S/FTP Cat6a Lockable Grey-5m (Hypertec 848948-HY) is a 5-metre Cat6a network cable with S/FTP shielding and RJ-45 connectors at both ends. Designed for high-speed data transmission, the cable reduces electromagnetic interference and supports high-bandwidth applications in home and office networks. The grey jacket provides a neutral appearance suitable for visible installations.

Advantages

The S/FTP construction offers individual pair foil plus overall braid shielding to minimise crosstalk and external interference. Cat6a specification supports higher frequencies and improved performance for 10 Gigabit Ethernet over shorter distances. Lockable RJ-45 connectors secure the connection and prevent accidental unplugging. A 5 m length balances reach and signal integrity for typical desktop-to-switch or patch panel connections.

How to use

Plug each RJ-45 connector into the corresponding network ports on your devices (for example PC to switch or switch to patch panel). Ensure the locking clip engages to secure the connection. Route the cable to avoid sharp bends and sources of strong electromagnetic interference. For best performance, keep the cable run within recommended lengths for Cat6a installations and avoid bundling with power cables.

Recommendations

For reliable 10GbE performance, use this Cat6a S/FTP cable for short to medium runs (up to typical recommended distances) and maintain proper installation practices: avoid tight bends, limit exposure to high-power electrical lines, and ensure connectors are fully seated and locked.
