Infraroodlamp Philips PAR38 IR 175W E27 230V rood

Philips PAR38 IR 175W E27 230V Red is an infrared heat lamp in a PAR38 form factor with a standard E27 screw base for 230V mains. The lamp features red-tinted glass that transmits concentrated infrared radiation for localized heating and drying. Designed for fixtures that accept PAR38 bulbs, it provides a focused beam suitable for therapeutic warming, spot heating, drying processes and applications that require efficient radiant heat.

Advantages

The lamp delivers a high 175W output of infrared energy in a compact PAR38 shape, offering reliable and consistent radiant heating. Its E27 base makes installation straightforward in many common fixtures, while the red glass helps reduce visible glare and improve radiant heat transmission. The focused beam profile supports targeted heating with minimal air convection compared to convective heaters.

Suitable for

• Therapeutic and salon warming applications such as physiotherapy or beauty treatments
• Spot heating for workstations or localized comfort heating
• Drying and curing processes in light industrial or workshop settings
• Animal care requiring supplemental radiant heat for enclosures

Key specifications

• Power: 175 watts of infrared output
• Base type: E27 screw fitting
• Voltage: designed for 230 V mains
• Bulb shape: PAR38 reflector form factor for a focused beam
• Glass type: red-tinted glass for infrared transmission and reduced visible glare

How to use

Install the lamp into a compatible fixture with an E27 socket rated for 230V and for the lamp's wattage. Ensure the fixture and lamp are positioned to target the desired area at a safe distance; follow any device-specific instructions for minimum clearance from people, animals or materials. Switch off power before replacing the lamp and allow the lamp to cool before handling to avoid burns. Use in fixtures designed to handle reflector-type lamps and avoid operation in sealed luminaires unless explicitly rated by the fixture manufacturer.

Recommendations

Use the infrared lamp in well-ventilated spaces and observe safety guidelines for radiant heat sources. For therapeutic use, follow professional guidance on exposure duration and distance. For animal enclosures or drying tasks, monitor temperatures to prevent overheating and ensure that fixtures and surrounding materials are heat resistant.
