Kabelcrimptang Cimco 180004 1 stuk MC4 CE-gecertificeerd

The Cimco 180004 cable crimper is a hand tool made for crimping MC4 solar connectors to photovoltaic cables. CE certified and supplied as a single unit, this crimper is sized and shaped to apply consistent pressure on MC4 contact sleeves, producing secure mechanical and electrical connections for solar panel installations and related PV system wiring.

Advantages

This cable crimper provides controlled compression for MC4 terminals, helping to ensure repeatable crimps and reduced risk of poor contact. Its ergonomic handles improve grip and reduce hand fatigue during repetitive tasks. The robust construction offers dimensional stability for the crimping jaws, supporting consistent performance over time in field or workshop use. CE certification indicates conformity with applicable safety standards.

Suitable for

• Crimping MC4 connector contact sleeves on PV cables
• Assembly and maintenance of solar panel arrays
• On-site electrical installation and cable termination work
• Workshop preparation of solar connectorized cable assemblies

Key specifications

• Hand-operated crimping tool designed for MC4 connector contacts
• CE certified construction for safety compliance
• Ergonomic handles for improved grip during repeated use
• Durable crimping jaws engineered for consistent compression
• Single-piece supply suitable for individual installers or small teams

How to use

Strip the photovoltaic cable insulation to the recommended length for the MC4 contact sleeve, insert the conductor into the contact, and position the contact sleeve in the jaw of the crimper. Squeeze the handles evenly until the crimp is complete, then release and inspect the crimped joint for secure mechanical retention and correct deformation of the sleeve. Follow connector manufacturer guidance for strip length and crimp quality criteria. Perform a pull test or continuity check as part of quality control before finalizing the connection.

Recommendations

Use the tool only for MC4 contacts and the cable sizes specified by the connector manufacturer. Regularly inspect the crimping jaws for wear, keep the tool clean and lightly lubricated on pivot points, and replace the tool if jaws show deformation. When working on live systems, follow all electrical safety procedures and disconnect circuits where appropriate before crimping.
