Kabeltule ACT RJ45 blauwe tule voor 5,5-mm-kabel

The ACT RJ45 blue boot for 5.5 mm cable is a molded protective cover designed to fit over RJ-45 connectors on cables with a 5.5 mm diameter. It provides strain relief, protects the connector latch from snagging, and helps maintain connector integrity in installations where cables are frequently moved or routed through tight spaces. The blue color offers visual differentiation for cable management and identification across switches, patch panels, and network runs. The product is supplied in packs of 25 and complies with CE and RoHS standards for safety and environmental compliance.

Advantages

This RJ45 boot reduces mechanical stress at the connector-cable junction, increasing the reliable lifetime of the terminated connector. Its molded shape prevents accidental damage to the latch while allowing easy plug/unplug action. The colored boot simplifies port and cable identification and supports organized cabling schemes in data centres, offices, and telecommunication closets. Compliance with CE and RoHS indicates adherence to applicable safety and material restrictions.

Suitable for

• Cable assemblies using 5.5 mm outer diameter network cable
• Patch panels and switch connections where latch protection is required
• Environments that need color-coded cable identification
• Bulk installation projects where multiple connector boots are installed

Key specifications

• Compatible cable outer diameter: 5.5 mm
• Function: strain relief and latch protection for RJ-45 connectors
• Colour: blue
• Pack quantity: 25 pieces per pack
• Compliance: CE and RoHS

How to use

Slide the boot onto the cable before terminating with an RJ-45 plug, positioning the narrow end toward the plug. After crimping the connector, move the boot forward over the connector until it seats against the plug body, ensuring the latch is fully covered while still accessible for operation. Verify that the boot does not interfere with the crimped contacts and that the cable jacket is secured within the boot to provide effective strain relief.

Recommendations

Use boots matched to the exact cable outer diameter for optimal strain relief; for 5.5 mm cable, select this boot to ensure a snug fit. Avoid forcing boots onto significantly larger or smaller cables, and inspect boots for damage before installation. For organized cabling, use consistent color coding across installations and replace any boot that shows cracking or loss of elasticity.
