The 4K@30Hz capability makes it suitable for presentations and video playback where high resolution is important but 60Hz refresh is not required.

Ideal use cases

• Connecting a DisplayPort laptop to an HDMI projector in a meeting room
• Extending a desktop to an HDMI monitor for dual-screen productivity
• Linking a DisplayPort media player to an HDMI TV for digital signage
• Using with legacy HDMI displays that lack DisplayPort inputs

Good to know

The adapter is powered directly from the DisplayPort source, so it draws minimal power and requires no driver installation. It supports HDCP 1.4, allowing playback of protected content from services that use that standard. The female HDMI connector accepts any standard HDMI cable, giving you flexibility in total cable length.
