KVM-extender-set DIGITUS DS-55355 HDMI over IP 4K 60Hz

DIGITUS DS-55355 HDMI over IP 4K 60Hz is a KVM extender set that transmits HDMI video and keyboard/mouse control signals over standard IP networks. It supports 4K resolution at 60Hz and is intended for extending workstation access, digital signage, AV installations and control room environments where video quality and remote control are required. The set enables placement flexibility by separating PCs and displays across a network while reducing direct cable runs and allowing centralized management of connected endpoints.

Advantages

The DIGITUS DS-55355 set offers transmission of HDMI video and peripheral control over IP, supporting high-resolution 4K at 60Hz for clear image reproduction. By using network infrastructure it reduces cable complexity and allows flexible placement of source devices and displays. The solution supports centralized access to remote workstations and is suitable for multi-station setups, simplifying installation and maintenance in AV and control-room installations.

Suitable for

• Remote workstation access and IT administration
• Digital signage installations requiring 4K video distribution
• AV installations in conference rooms and auditoriums
• Control rooms and monitoring stations

Key specifications

• Video standard: HDMI over IP
• Maximum supported resolution: 4K at 60Hz
• Functionality: keyboard, video and mouse (KVM) extension over network
• Network transport: standard IP network transmission
• Use case: extends video and peripheral control across networked locations

How to use

Connect the transmitter unit to the source computer’s HDMI output and attach keyboard and mouse to the transmitter’s USB/console ports as required. Connect the receiver unit to the remote display via HDMI and attach local input devices to the receiver. Integrate both units into the same IP network using Ethernet connections; devices can be connected through switches or routers that support the network topology in use. Configure network addresses and any device settings according to the included product documentation to establish video and peripheral control over the network.

Recommendations

For reliable 4K@60Hz performance, use a stable IP network with sufficient bandwidth and low latency; prefer wired Gigabit Ethernet connections and managed switches in multi-device deployments. Follow the manufacturer’s setup guide for network configuration and firmware updates to ensure compatibility and consistent operation.
