PLANET IGS-5225-16T4S is a managed Layer 2+ Gigabit Ethernet switch in a 1U rack case with 16 10/100/1000 Mbps RJ-45 ports and 4 SFP slots (100/1000X). It provides a 40 Gbps switching fabric, L2+ features and static Layer 3 routing, and is designed for industrial environments with operating temperatures from -40 to 75 °C. The switch supports both IPv4 and IPv6 dual stack and offers front-access wiring for easier installation and maintenance.

How to use

Install the IGS-5225-16T4S in a standard 1U rack space and connect power using the AC or DC inputs; for continuous operation configure both power sources as redundant. Insert appropriate SFP transceivers into the SFP slots to extend fiber links and connect RJ-45 devices to the Gigabit ports. Use the web GUI, console or Telnet/SSH to perform initial configuration: create VLANs, set up static routes, configure QoS and ACLs, and enable alarm/DIO settings.
