Managed switch Cudy GS108E 8-poorts Gigabit Ethernet, 8x 10/100/1000 Mbps, metalen behuizing, 16 Gbps switching, IGMP & DHCP snooping

The Cudy GS108E is an 8-port managed Gigabit Ethernet switch in a metal housing. It provides eight Gigabit RJ-45 ports (10/100/1000 Mbps), IEEE 802.1Q VLAN support, IGMP snooping and DHCP snooping. The switch supports jumbo frames and offers a switching capacity of 16 Gbit/s while consuming up to 2.75 W in operation, making it suitable for compact office, home lab or edge network deployments.

Advantages

The metal case provides durable protection and passive heat dissipation. Managed features such as VLAN (IEEE 802.1Q), IGMP snooping and DHCP snooping enable basic traffic segmentation and multicast handling. With eight Gigabit ports and 16 Gbit/s switching capacity the device supports multiple high-bandwidth connections, while low power consumption reduces operating costs. Support for jumbo frames and a multicast MAC table of 8192 entries improves performance for multicast-heavy environments.

Suitable for

• Small office networks
• Home labs and SOHO setups
• Edge deployments requiring basic managed switching and multicast support

How to use

Place the switch on a flat, stable surface with adequate ventilation. Connect the included power adapter to the DC-in jack and to a 100–240 V AC outlet. Use standard Cat5e or higher Ethernet cables to connect devices to the eight RJ-45 Gigabit ports. Configure VLANs, IGMP snooping and DHCP snooping via the switch’s management interface according to network requirements. For multicast environments enable IGMP snooping and verify multicast MAC table entries as needed.

Recommendations

For reliable operation keep ambient temperature within 0–40 °C and relative humidity between 10–90%. Use Cat5e or Cat6 cables for Gigabit performance, and plan VLAN and multicast settings before deployment to ensure proper segmentation and traffic handling.
