Mechanische stiften Faber-Castell 0,5 mm B (2 pakken, zwart)

Refill leads for mechanical pencils by Faber-Castell, diameter 0.5 mm and grade B, supplied as two packs of black leads. These refills are designed for standard 0.5 mm mechanical pencil mechanisms and offer a softer, darker stroke compared to medium or hard grades. The twin-pack format ensures extended availability of writing material for everyday use in school, office and creative environments.

Advantages

The B-grade 0.5 mm leads deliver noticeably darker lines and smoother laydown, which improves legibility and contrast on paper. Compatibility with common 0.5 mm mechanical pencils makes replacement simple and practical. Supplied in two packs, the product reduces the frequency of reordering and keeps spare leads available for prolonged tasks.

Key specifications

How to use

Open the refill pack according to the manufacturer’s opening method and insert individual leads into the chamber of a compatible 0.5 mm mechanical pencil. Advance the lead using the pencil’s mechanism and test the first stroke on scrap paper to confirm smoothness and desired darkness. Replace broken leads by removing the remaining fragments from the tip and reloading as needed. Store unused refills in a dry place to prevent contamination.

Recommendations

Use B-grade 0.5 mm leads for tasks requiring clearer, darker lines or softer shading. For detailed technical drawings where extremely fine, consistent thin lines are essential, consider harder grades; for sketching and expressive strokes, the B lead provides better tonal range. Avoid applying excessive pressure to minimize breakage and keep backup leads available during extended work sessions.
