Netwerkkabel LANBERG PCU5-10CC-0500-BK Cat5e U/UTP RJ-45 — 5 m, zwart, CCA-geleider

LANBERG PCU5-10CC-0500-BK RJ-45 Cat5e U/UTP 5 m Black is a 5-meter Ethernet patch cable with RJ-45 connectors and U/UTP (unshielded/overall shield) construction. It is designed to deliver reliable wired data transmission for Gigabit Ethernet and Fast Ethernet environments, providing a stable connection between routers, switches, computers and other network devices. The black outer jacket offers a discreet appearance suitable for office and home installations.

Advantages

The cable uses Cat5e specification to support up to 1000 Mbps data rates in typical LAN setups and reduce crosstalk and external interference through U/UTP construction. Gold-plated RJ-45 contacts ensure consistent signal transfer and corrosion resistance, while the 5 m length provides flexibility for common equipment arrangements without excessive slack. The black PVC jacket is durable and resistant to everyday wear in installations behind desks, in server cabinets or along baseboards.

Suitable for

• Connecting desktop PCs, laptops and network printers to routers or switches
• Wiring home network equipment such as modems, NAS and smart TVs
• Office patching between wall outlets, patch panels and network devices
• Temporary network setups for meetings, events or testing

Key specifications

• Cable category: Cat5e
• Length: 5 m
• Connectors: RJ-45 to RJ-45
• Shielding: U/UTP (overall braid/shield with unshielded pairs)
• Color: Black
• Suitable for: Fast Ethernet and Gigabit Ethernet over short to medium distances

How to use

Insert one RJ-45 connector into the network port of your router, switch or modem and the other connector into the Ethernet port of your PC, laptop, NAS or other device. Ensure connectors are fully seated until the clip clicks to establish a secure mechanical and electrical connection. Route the cable to avoid tight bends and sharp edges; leave some slack near connection points to prevent strain. For optimal performance, keep the cable separated from high-voltage power lines and large electrical equipment that may generate interference.

Recommendations

For stable Gigabit performance, avoid running the cable alongside mains power cables and use proper cable management to minimize bending radii. Replace cables that show visible damage to the jacket or connectors. Use this Cat5e cable for standard Ethernet installations where Cat6 performance is not required; for higher bandwidth or future-proofing consider higher category cables.
