Netwerkkabel METZ CONNECT 1308451501-E zwart oranje 1,5 m

The METZ CONNECT 1308451501-E Black Orange 1.5m is a Cat6a networking cable designed for high-speed data transmission and reliable Ethernet connections. This 1.5 meter cable features S/FTP shielding to reduce electromagnetic interference and RJ-45 connectors with bronze/gold plating to ensure stable contact and improved conductivity. Its black and orange jacket provides a distinctive, modern appearance suitable for visible installations in home or office environments.

Advantages

S/FTP shielding offers improved protection against crosstalk and external interference, supporting consistent signal quality over the cable length. The Cat6a specification enables higher bandwidth and reduced attenuation compared with lower-category cables, making it suitable for demanding network applications. Factory-mounted RJ-45 connectors with bronze/gold plating enhance contact reliability and help maintain low contact resistance over time. The 1.5 m length balances reach and cable management for desktop and small-rack setups.

Suitable for

• Connecting desktop PCs, laptops, and network printers to switches or routers
• Short-run patching in office patch panels and network cabinets
• High-speed network links for streaming, video conferencing, and online gaming
• Structured cabling where enhanced shielding is required to limit interference

Key specifications

• Category: Cat6a
• Shielding: S/FTP (overall braid with individually shielded pairs)
• Connector type: RJ-45
• Connector plating: bronze base with gold plating
• Length: 1.5 m
• Colour: black and orange jacket
• Conductor structure: twisted pairs (4 pairs)
• Suitable transmission: Gigabit and 10 Gigabit Ethernet (where supported)

How to use

Plug one RJ-45 connector into your network device (PC, switch, router, or modem) and the other into the corresponding port of the remote device. Ensure connectors are fully inserted until the latch clicks to establish a secure connection. Route the cable to avoid tight bends and excess tension; maintain recommended bend radius for copper structured cabling to preserve signal integrity. For installations in patch panels or racks, use appropriate cable management to prevent strain on connectors and to keep airflow unobstructed.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, use this Cat6a S/FTP cable in environments with potential electromagnetic interference, and avoid running it in parallel with high-voltage power lines. Verify that connected equipment supports the intended data rates (Gigabit or 10 Gigabit) and inspect connectors for damage before use. Replace the cable if the jacket or connectors show visible wear or if connection quality degrades.
