Netwerkkabel shiverpeaks BASIC-S Cat7 0,5 m groen

The ShiverPeaks BASIC-S Cat7 networking cable 0.5m in green is a short patch cable designed for reliable Ethernet connections where space is limited. This Cat7 cable uses S/FTP shielding and gold-plated RJ-45 connectors to provide consistent high-speed data transmission and improved resistance to electromagnetic interference. Its compact 0.5 meter length and flexible jacket make it suitable for connecting devices in patch panels, network switches, routers, and desktop systems without excess cable clutter.

Advantages

The S/FTP construction combines an overall foil shield with individually shielded pairs, reducing crosstalk and external interference for stable performance in congested cable environments. Gold-plated RJ-45 connectors ensure low contact resistance and reliable mating with network ports. The half-meter length minimizes signal loss and keeps cable runs tidy in racks, offices, and home networks. The cable jacket in green provides easy visual identification among multiple connections.

Suitable for

• Short-distance connections between network switches and patch panels
• Connecting desktop computers, NAS devices, or game consoles to a nearby router
• Use in data cabinets or racks where neat cable management is needed

Key specifications

• Cable category: Cat7
• Length: 0.5 m
• Shielding: S/FTP (overall foil + individually foil-shielded pairs)
• Connector type: RJ-45, gold-plated contacts
• Color: Green
• Suitable for high-speed Ethernet and PoE applications within short runs

How to use

Insert the RJ-45 connector firmly into the network port until it clicks to ensure a secure connection. Use the 0.5 m cable to connect devices that are close to each other to avoid excess cable length. When routing the cable through panels or cable management channels, avoid tight bends near the connectors to maintain shielding integrity and signal quality. For best results, pair with compatible Cat7-capable networking equipment.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, avoid running the cable alongside large power cables or sources of strong electromagnetic interference. Use cable ties or Velcro straps to organize multiple cables and maintain bend radii greater than the connector area to preserve shielding and connector reliability.
