Netwerkkabel ShiverPeaks BS08-40071 blauw 10m Cat8 S/FTP

The ShiverPeaks BS08-40071 Blue 10m Cat8 S/FTP networking cable delivers a high-performance wired connection for home, office, and data center environments. This 10-meter cable uses Category 8 construction with S/FTP (shielded/foiled twisted pair) shielding to reduce electromagnetic interference and crosstalk, while RJ-45 connectors with gold-plated contacts provide reliable contact and consistent signal transmission. The blue jacket provides clear visual identification for structured cabling runs.

Advantages

Cat8 specification supports higher transmission frequencies and bandwidth compared with earlier categories, enabling fast data transfer and low latency for demanding network applications. The S/FTP shielding adds protection against external noise and helps preserve signal integrity over the cable length. Gold-plated RJ-45 contacts resist corrosion and improve long-term connectivity. A 10 m length offers flexibility to connect devices across rooms or within racks without additional couplers.

Suitable for

• High-speed local area networks and point-to-point links
• Server rooms and rack-mounted network equipment
• Home offices, streaming, and online gaming setups
• Workstations requiring low-latency connections
• Structured cabling where shielding and clear color coding are preferred

Key specifications

• Category: Cat8
• Shielding: S/FTP (overall braid with individual foil for pairs)
• Connector type: RJ-45 with gold-plated contacts
• Length: 10 m
• Color: Blue
• Intended use: Ethernet data transmission up to Cat8 performance

How to use

Connect one RJ-45 end to the network port of your device (computer, switch, router or patch panel) and the other end to the corresponding port on the other device. Ensure connectors are fully inserted until they click to establish a secure connection. Route the cable to avoid sharp bends, excessive tension, and sources of strong electromagnetic interference. For optimal performance, use shielding-compatible patch panels and maintain proper grounding in shielded installations.

Recommendations

For best results in high-density or shielded network environments, pair this Cat8 S/FTP cable with compatible shielded connectors and properly grounded infrastructure. Replace any damaged connectors or cables and avoid running the cable parallel to high-voltage power lines to minimize interference.
